Top Shelf
This is exactly what the title says - the top self of our book shelf. In our new apartment we have a shelf coming off of one of the walls where you can see through into the other side of the room. On the other side of that room is an area for a dinner table. This area also has a pot-light pointed at the wall which gives fantastic lighting for taking pictures, I have been experimenting quite a bit with it. But I have yet to take an in-depth look at what I've got by way of how the pictures turned out.
*and if you are looking for good music click this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VvB_UmmIzk - I am the type of person that can listen to the same song over and over again or eat the same meal multiple days in a row, just ask my college roommates, this song has been on repeat for months...months... (that's my doppelganger on the piano, check out more live Sigur Ros songs if you don't believe me.)

New-Old Reads
Does this shot of the book shelf make me look like a wanna-be hipster reader? I hope not, but I admit that I do own all of Chuck Palahniuk's novels (minus his latest, "Damned", waiting for that bad boy in trade-paperback). I am also currently collecting any Vonnegut I can find in the trade-paperback style put out by Delta Press.
Although the book shelf doesn't stop there, among others you can find my personal favorite "Travels with Charley" by Steinbeck, a small collection of the late-great David Foster Wallace, and a few classics such as Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 and Huxley's Brave New World.

Chicago
Finally getting a chance to go through the pictures from my recent trip to visit some friends in Chicago, easily my favorite picture here:
I took this picture once we got off the train on our way out to the White Sox/Rangers game

Split Images
Now that I have returned from my week long vacation to the Migis Resort on beautiful Lake Sebago (Maine) I have turned my attention to editing some of the pictures I took. As I was editing I stumbled upon this funny occurrence more than once, take this picture for example:
As I was looking at this picture I realized it could easily be split in to two different pictures - What do you think?
I certainly think it works on both levels, stick around for more pictures from my trip to Maine!
